This links list is an attempt to provide connections between groups working
for progressive social change, and to provide information on funding sources for

Shares of Greater Milwaukee
- Community Shares of Milwaukee (formerly ACHOICE) offers workplace giving
opportunities to support more than 40 agencies that support civil, human and
consumer rights, education, environmental advocacy, community development
and economic opportunity.

Shares of Wisconsin
- Community Shares of Wisconsin raises funds to support nonprofit agencies
that work to protect our urban lands and waters, restore Wisconsin's
prairie, build sustainable homes and communities, provide for the needs of
children and families, support quality health care and promote social
justice.

- Donors Forum of Wisconsin
- The Donors Forum of Wisconsin is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) membership
organization serving grantmakers. It does not make grants, but does provide
limited service in the area of information and referral and proposal writing
workshops for nonprofit organizations seeking grants.

- Foundation Center Online
- A national organization with a nationwide database and network of
libraries (including cooperating
library collections in the state of Wisconsin) that has the mission of
assisting you in answering your questions about foundations and other
nonprofit resources, and instructing you in the funding research process.

- Fund
of the Sacred Circle
- This cooperative project between WCF and the Headwaters Foundation is directed
toward grassroots groups or projects in Minnesota or Wisconsin engaged in
social change organizing. Native American community activists working for
social justice on a day-to-day basis, make the funding decisions for Fund of
the Sacred Circle. Funding criteria, guidelines, and an application form can
be downloaded from the Headwaters web site.

- Funding Exchange
- A network comprised of 15 foundations throughout the United States
(including WCF) committed to funding progressive grassroots groups.
The national office supports the work of the member funds as well as
providing grants nationwide through three programs.

- National Network of Grantmakers
- An organization of individuals involved in funding
social and economic justice, not a funding group. NNG is
committed to the goal of increasing resources, financial and otherwise, to
organizations working for social change. Its members are individual donors,
foundation staff, board, and grantmaking committee members.

- Social
Justice Center, Madison, WI
- The Social Justice Center is a nonprofit office center cooperatively-owned
by Madison Community Co-op, the Tenant Resource Center, Wisconsin Citizen
Action Fund and Wisconsin Community Fund. The building houses the offices of
the four founding organizations, plus offices of other nonprofits.
There is also a community meeting room available for use by the
organizations in the building, as well as outside nonprofits sponsored by
one of the four member organizations.

Wisconsin Network for
Peace and Justice
- The Wisconsin Network for Peace and Justice (WNPJ) was founded in 1991 as a coalition of activist groups and citizens of conscience within Wisconsin.
WNPJ facilitates activities, cooperation and communication among Wisconsin organizations and individuals working toward the creation of a world free from violence and injustice.
WNPJ works for alternatives to militarism, economic justice, grassroots democracy,
global community, respect for diversity, sustainable agriculture/development,
a safe, clean environment, lifestyles of active nonviolence, and human rights for all.

- Workers Independent News Service
WINS is a unique service devoted to providing news about the issues and
activities of working families and their unions to radio stations across
America. It accesses and assembles news from unions, labor and social
justice activists, and community groups from across the country, and then
packages and the material for distribution to and airing on radio stations.
